IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

This post has been a while coming and it deeply saddens me to have to write it, but I am announcing the closing of Lima Hellmouth. This roleplay was an amazing concept and so much fun to be a part of. We brought together old and new friends, had many ICC parties and a lot of drama. I myself thought it was going to last for so much longer but sadly it has come to its end. We’ve had several sessions of inactivity and brought it back many a time but now is the time to let it go. 

It has been discussed thoroughly over the past couple of weeks between Mel, Allan and myself, activity has come to a halt and muse has been limited for most members. Instead of dragging it out further we’ve decided to close now. We’re happy for anyone who to proceed roleplaying with their characters to continue however the roleplay itself shall be closed and our input will cease.

Quick Heads Up

RP has been a little quiet lately, and I apologise for that. I’ve been really busy lately and then got hit by a bad bout of flu. I promise there’ll be some plot developments by this weekend!

Also I think we’re experiencing a little trouble with our inbox eating things, so if you need to message/send us anything then try and message our individual rp characters (Quinn/Dave/Santana) or catch one of the three of us in the OOC Chat.

Bodyswap Plot!

Just a reminder that it’s been just over a week now since we started this plot. I’ve seen a few pairs make good headway in their swaps and are probably close to swapping back, (and I know a few others are mid-ICC) but wanted to remind all of you that I’d like for this to end by Friday at the latest. People can now swap back anytime they’d like, as long as the conditions of the wish have been met, i.e. they’ve gained something valuable from it.

Please remember to alert the main too, as I’d like to keep track of this and let people know as it happens so that things don’t get too confusing.

As I totally didn’t factor in the fact that they wouldn’t have their own phones, but once today has passed and they’ve all swapped phones, things will become simpler. Just bear with us!

Body Swap Plot - Important, Please Read!

Tomorrow will be the official start of our body swap. But before it gets here you guys need a few more details about it.

The Plot:

We have established in RP that Glee club started up again. About twenty minutes before the end of the meeting, Ali made an excuse to leave and headed out of the auditorium, where she bumped into Riley. After talking for a bit, Ali makes the following statement: 

“God, Riley… I just… I wish she knew what it was like to be me. It’s not like she’s ever cared about trampling all over my feelings… And I’d love to have it as easy as she does. People here… they don’t even know how lucky they have it.” She grimaced, and shook her head angrily. “I don’t care about any of them. I wish… certain individuals knew just how much they have, comparatively…”

Riley, grants this wish and it affects everyone present in the school building at the time. Tomorrow, when everyone affected wakes up, they will no longer be in their own body and will be in the body of the person you’ve all agreed to swap with.

The plot will last for a minimum of one week, and a maximum of two. More on that below

The Logistics: 

So how will this all work?  You’ll still continue to rp your characters normally, but just think of it as changing your FC for two weeks. As generally we all seem to acknowledge that anything not stated as a para/text etc. is interaction over tumblr, we can totally go ahead and use different gifs without having to worry. 

There are only two things that you will need to do differently:

• The first is that to make it easier for people to remember who your character has swapped with, we’re going to ask you to change your avatar to that of the person you’re swapping with. 
• Second thing is that for the duration of the swap, we’re going to ask you to use gifs of the FC you’ve swapped to. If you don’t really want to go through the hassle of finding gifs (and we know that some of you don’t really like to use gifs while rping either) then feel free to just not use any gifs. 

Things to Bear in Mind:

• You’re going to be playing a character who is in somebody else’s body. Nobody will know that you’ve swapped bodies, apart from the person you’ve swapped with. Therefore everyone you come in contact won’t know its you. That seems obvious, but I did a body swap plot in another rp once and someone kept forgetting that and it was just awkward.
• We seem to have a lot of characters either with very absent parents or without parents at all, but please remember that there are quite a few with parents that would notice if their child isn’t around :p and be even more suspicious if their child attempted to come and live at home while they’re in someone else’s body. Therefore  you probably want to establish early on, how you plan on getting around that if you do or at least have taken the consequences into consideration.
• You are the ones that are going to be ending this wish. It won’t just end naturally. I touched on this in an earlier post, but the only way this wish will end is if your character and the character you’re swapping with learns something valuable as a result of being in each other’s bodies. I’m not talking about learning all their secrets, but rather gaining an understanding for a part of their life. Whether it’s learning that their life isn’t as easy as you perhaps thought it was, and maybe their life has made you reevaluate your own, or learning to trust them as a result of the swap…or maybe even sorting out any issues they may have. This plot is all about character development and strengthening/fixing bonds so please para/icc this happening.
• I mentioned above that this will last for at least a week, that means that this whole epiphany business should happen between weeks 1 and 2. 
• Once your character is back in their own body, please let the main know. I want to keep track of this as best I can but sometimes don’t get a chance to read everything. I’ll remind you again at the end of the first week.
• Powers stay with the body. They don’t travel with you, so please be sure to ask your swap partners about the intricacies of their powers. All metahumans/witches had to get used to their powers so remember that you’re not going to have the best control. 
• There is a full moon during this plot and it’s between Friday the 25th and Sunday the 27th, so if you’ve swapped with a werewolf…have fun :p

With timezones etc, it’ll be a little hard to orchestrate when the swap happens exactly in rp. Therefore, for convenience, I’m going to say that it’ll start at 11am GMT/6am EST/3am PST.

You’ve got until 11pm GMT to let me know if you’re swapping. A post will be going up shortly after then, detailing everything you need to know for the swap.

For reference, if you are taking part, then in order for you character to be a part of the swap you need them to be in the school at around 4:30pm. A Glee Club meeting will be happening (though no ICC) so if your character is a part of glee/is going to that then you already have a reason. If not then you’ll have to come up with your own, whether it be detention, another club, sports practice, etc. You don’t need to para/icc this but it’s something to consider as the wish only affects those in the school building at 4:30pm. However, the actual body swapping won’t begin until tomorrow morning.
